Terlahir dengan nama Ng Man Tat (dalam bahasa Chinese Simplified : 吴孟达 ; traditional Chinese: 吳孟達) pada tanggal 2 Januari 1952. Dia seorang aktor legendaris Hong Kong yang uda ga perlu diraguin lagi akting dan peran nya dalam setiap film yang beliau bintangin.

Ng Man Tat biasanya maen film bareng ma aktor dan director film terkenal, kayak Stephen Chow, di film Mo Lei Tau (Brainless / Senseless random) sebuah tayangan komedi di Hong Kong.. Ng dan Stephen Chow makin akrab saat maen bareng lagi di TVB (tv nya Hong Kong) yang judulnya Dun Fei Final Combat (蓋世豪俠) (1989) dan All for the Winner (1990) sebagai paman nya si Stephen Chow. Dari situ mereka mulai berkembang otak konyol dan makin gendeng komedi nya...
