Heron Close Up In Flight

Ok so I was out testing my newly aquired 2x teleconverter added to my 300mm F4 lens and I duffed this shot by only getting about a quarter of the bird in the frame.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Got me thinking, do we really have to have the entire bird in the frame or does a close up like this work?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Anyways, using the equivalent of a 600mm F8 lens requires a bit of practice to get sharp shots handheld <img src="http://thephotoforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="smile" smilieid="105" class="inlineimg" /></p>
