Small bird

Shot these over the weekend from the porch on our lake house. I'm not sure what kind of bird it is, maybe a young blue jay (it was pretty small) and haven't had a chance to look at a book to identify it; maybe someone can help in that regard? </p>

<p>I'm sort of undecided on them. Without going into my own reasons/uncertainties, any C&amp;C is much appreciated. </p>
