Spooky Fungi

This is really wierd. Mushrooms keep popping up in different places in my garden (with no sign of them the evening before) and then dying in a day or two. At most they are 2-3 inches tall. Is this typical? This is my first vegetable garden since I moved to Phoenix from Philadelphia 10 years ago.</p>
