Even with manual still not getting timed shutter speeds. HELP

Hey guys i'm back.</p>

<p>I've been experimenting like crazy and I still can't find a way with my remote shutter release (ML-L3) to get a timed exposure. I changed the setting to 15m, Minimum. Now my objective is to be able to get it to the setting, Hit shutter release to open the shutter, hit it again to close it. Therefore having my own timed exposure shot. I cannot find a way even using the manual to get this to work. Can somebody please give me some help on this please.</p>
