There are 5 schools in our town. (K-1, Pre-k &2-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12) Weird. I know, but I thought that I would do a drawing for "giveaway" for each school. Not asking for money or anything, just an entry form to use for the actual drawing.
My thoughts were it would be good practice for me and 5 families could get new pictures of their kid, for free. I'd do a 45 minute session with each "winner" and then give them a high res CD.
So I called the school today to see if I could send home flyers. They told me to contact the school board. So I did. She said to submit the idea in writing after I'd explained the whole situation. So I did.
Here is what she said:
[QUOTE]Your request for permission to send flyers home to our student, did not meet LISD guidelines. LISD is restricted by law and policy in the utilization of our school facilities during the educational day. Listed below our guideline:
Communications Flyers (Outside Organizations) Requirements for Consideration Flyers must meet the following standards: Produced by a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Serve the majority of (Town Name)youth. Include the name of the organization sponsoring the service or event. Approval Process and Access/Distribution 1. Submit a copy of the flyer to the Public Relations Office with a contact name and number. 2. The flyer will be initialed upon approval (post-only or student take-home) and the submitter will be contacted. 3. It is the responsibility of the requesting organization to make available copies of the approved flyer as directed. To me, I read this as it was turned down because I'm not a non-profit, tax exempt organization, but I also read it as I need to submit an example flyer.
What do you guys get out of it? &n Terkait:
