Bahasa Indonesia memiliki banyak kata penegas yang terkadang membuat orang asing (dan terkadang orang lokal juga) menjadi bingung ketika mempelajarinya. Beberapa kata penegas yang paling terkenal dan paling sering digunakan adalah 'Lah', 'Kok', 'Sih', dan 'dong'.
