[HELP, GAN] Microsoft Live Messenger 2009 problem

Maaf, gan klo ternyata ane salkam



Ane baru kemaren ini kena masalah MSN 2009 ane yg freeze (not responding) setelah 5 detik sign in (begitu pop-up Live Today keluar), abis itu langsung log out n crash...



Ane udah coba re-install berulang kali tetep ga berhasil....

alrighty, I was having the same problem and I found a solution...



I'm using msn live with msgr plus and stuff NG plugin...



I had also recently installed IE 7...



Every few minutes of using msn messenger it would freeze and the window would go white..



then I did I little testing and alot of research to find out that it's actually IE that's causing the problem...



basically, microsoft have set IE to constantly check a couple websites and these websites are on the crappiest server in the world apparently cause if you try to access them you end up waiting forever and usual end up crashing your browser...



and since msn messenger is built on IE technology it uses IE constantly!



so with that being said... all you have to do to FIX THE PROBLEM is change a couple options in the registry..



goto run and type regedit then hit enter



then naviagate to this key..



HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main



there are 4 things to change...



Default_Page_URL

Default_Search_URL

Search Page

Start Page

1.Uninstall the Windows Live Messenger program from Add or Remove Programs Tool which is located in the Control Panel.

2.There are folders located on your C drive:

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger

and possibly

that need to be deleted.

I�m not sure about these folders since the author was not very clear about this.

3.Re-install Windows Live Messenger by running the file Install_Messenger.exe (downloadable at the Microsoft Windows Live Messenger Site)

4.After the install and before you run WLM disable all the options (For example the options it gives u for install.. like make msn homepage and so on...)

5.Click the Start Button and choose the Run Option.

6.Type �cmd� (without the quotes) and click OK

7.at the dos prompt type �ipconfig /release� (without the quotes�mind the spacing though)

8.Open Windows Live Messenger.

9.Choose Sign In.. At this point a Troubleshooter will appear.. Click Fix and then repair.. and repair process should start.

10.Wait for the process to finish

11.The network will come back enable by itself (thats what mine did)

12.Start WLM ANd disable the options in general that "start msn at windows start, at internet conectoins start and something like that"

All should now be well (it work for me)

Ane cek kompi ane ga ada virus, spyware, dll...
