Tanpa menggunakan embel-embel �international�, Seoul Motor Show 2011 yang berakhir semalam, dilaporkan oleh Chosun Ilbo mencatat rekor pengunjung tertinggi selama tahun 6 tahun terakhir atau sejak 2005. Pameran ini dibuka 31 Maret lalu (berlangsung 11 hari), semalam dilaporkan jumlah pengunjungnya mencapai 175.000 orang. Alhasil, selama pameran berlangsung, total pengunjung 1.005.460 orang.



Untuk menarik pengunjung, diperkenalkan 59 model termasuk 5 model paling baru yang melakukan debut dunia (world premier). Juga dipamerkan 25 mobil konsep yang memperlihatkan teknologi dan desain masa depan dan 44 mobil ramah lingkungan.



Panitia Seoul Motor Show 2011 memperkirakan, pengaruh dari pameran adalah perputaran ekonomi mencapai satu triliun won (sekitar Rp 8 triliun) yang berasal dari pekerja, produksi, turis dan transportasi. Dilaporkan pameran ini telah menarik 12.000 pembeli asing dengan transaksi ekspor diperkirakan mencapai 1,3 miliar dolarAS atau Rp 11,310 triliun. Dilaporkan pula, Seoul Motor Show adalah adalah pameran mobil domestik yang banyak diikuti oleh peserta asing!
