Deskripsi
Ulkus kornea merujuk pada hilangnya sebagian kornea akibat kematian jaringan kornea. Kedoteran menyebut fenomena ini dengan ulkus kornea.

Gejala
Gejala dari penyakit ini; mata merah, sakit ringan, fotofobia, penglihatan menurun, kadang kotor. Pada pemeriksaan sering ditemui kekeruhan berwarna putih pada kornea. Penyebabnya, bakteri, jamur, cairan pencuci lensa kontak.

Pengobatan
Pengobatan untuk penyakit ini bertujuan membatasi hidup bakteri dengan pemberian antibiotik.
