CHANNEL [V] Host Nicholas Saputra was among A-List Stars in Attendance the 3rd Annual Asian Film Awards 2009, at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre last Monday, 23 Mar. At this year ceremony, Nicholas shared the stage with Taiwanese famous actress Joe Chen Qiao En and Japanese beauty Chie Tanaka, the star of the blockbuster Cape No.7. The three awarded the trophy for Best Editing, a category which saw four films competing: Beast Stalker (Hong Kong), Miao Miao (Taiwan/Hong Kong), Native Dancer (Kazakhstan/Russia/France/Cinema of Germany), The Rainbow Troops (Indonesia), and The Chaser (South Korea).
Besides Best Editing, Indonesian movie Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Troops) also got nominated for Best Movie as well. Producer and director of Laskar Pelangi; Mira Lesmana and Riri Riza with the editor of Laskar Pelangi were also among the attendance.
