Broken Crayon In My Hands

In The Stillness of the night i saw...
Broken Crayons in my hands,
What happened to the dream i've dreamt before,
Why Life is so hard to comprehend...

Chubby finger, and dimple hands,
Once held a future that looked so bright,
But things are always changing,
Just Like day to turn to night,

Childhood days were happy ones,
Life was so full of joy and cheers,
now that the illusions of reality has lifted,
all i'm left with is uncertainity and tears,

what am i supposed to hold on to,
when nothing is there to say,
what am i suppose to believe in,
when the shift is from day to day,

The things i thought to be right and true,
has some crumbling to the ground,
what i thought i was suppose to do,
no longer seems so sound,

when only i knew when i was a child,
of all the dissapointments i'd have to face,
i probably wouldn't have expected too much,
i wouldn't have believed with such haste,

The colours of my rainbow has finally faded,
the childhood illusions have lifted,
i now stand firm and tall,
on ground that once so shifted,

reality has finally hit me,
and now i fully understand,
that childhood dreams do break in two,
Just Like the broken crayons in my hands....
