This g18 is worth the money and wait. When i first got it i was pretty excited. At first i was a litte disappointed of the quality(but thats just me) but after i fired a whole clip i was impressed with it and aventually it became my favorite over my WE m9 and kjw g23. It actually shoots pretty hard and accurate(sloppy in automatic duh). conclusion: worth buying, reliable, and very very fun to shoot.



Pros:

-Decent quality handle and trigger

-good quality slide

-Shoots hard

-feels nice in your hands

-very nice recoil

-automatic firing is very nice

-fire selector switch clicks into place very nicely



cons:

-Gun does not come with painted orange tip on barrel but on the slide (sadly) but it comes off easily.

-magazine freezes too fast (not after firing in automatic but in single)

-since its new there is not a lot of accessaries for it.

Got this unit and my first impression is actually very good.



Finish is great, no imperfections visible, blowback is crisp and the trigger safety works. Trigger pull is almost the same length of it's real steel counterpart. Comes with a plastic outer barrel and an extra metal one.



Direct TM clone. Semi-Full auto switch functions like that of the TM where you can switch it when the slide is in the full forward position. TM/compatible mags fit.



Pros

Finish is excellent, no scratches or any imperfections

Nice metal slide(not pot metal, and that's for sure)

Nice crisp blowback

TM compatible

TM clone hop up mechanism

Full auto function



Cons

No real steel markings

No barrel cleaner



For a company that manufactured a GBB for the first time I say I'm impressed with them.



4 out of 5 stars for there are no Real Steel markings

I have used plenty of pistols and different brands. Hi Capa, 1911, MEU, Detonics and Beretta and other variants of these. But I always shied away from Glocks. Issues were they look too intimidating to take apart( I always make it a point to repair my own equipment) and the price.



I'm from the Philippines and if I buy a TM and upgrade it to a metal slide cost would be high. KSC though metal and priced about right.... well let's just say that the hop mech is a bit too intimidating for me.



As for ACMs I can't think of any that has a full auto capability. That was till last Monday that I read here FAS that My Airsoft Shop(MAS) sells A Glock 18C manufactured by Stark-Arms Company, made in Taiwan. BTW this company is not related to Ironman in any way. he he he



So I dropped by at MAS to EB the unit. Checked it on the net and the company claims that the slide is made of Aluminum Alloy and the lower frame is nylon reinforced polymer.( from popularairsoft)



The day after that I went back and bought a unit. After trying the unit out with a mag worth of BBs made me smile for I was really impressed by the Glock in terms of blowback and the full auto.



So cutting the chase, here's the low down of the Stark-Arms Glock S18C.(sorry for the low quality pics. Used a CP)



The packaging:



Triangular box(reminds me of Dunkin Donuts dozen) Plain with no frills.





Inside again is a simple plastic wrapped around the pistol. Mag is already inserted. Posted Image The pistol(Metal slide, plastic/polymer lower)with a plastic outer barrel. All parts are matte/flat black finish. I have to admit that the lower frame doesn't feel like plastic. The grips felt like you're holding a real Glock. Magazine holds 23 rounds and has an etched circles and numbers for the rounds inserted like the RS.







The manual(concise) and yes an extra metal outer barrel!





[IMG]Im really no expert in Glocks but Stark-Arms say that it is a direct clone of the Marui Glock. The Full Auto switch behaves like that of the Marui. You can switch to full auto while the slide is engaged, unlike KSC where you have to open the slide in order to be able to switch it to full auto.[/IMG]
