G&P MRE AEG

A Type 2 gearbox AR weapon, a good solid core that G&P relies on; this model of course with full metal and high quality parts inside and out.

This model uses a 16 inch barrel that seems to be cropping up more and more, the hybrid between the M4A1 carbine and M16 rifle lengths. It handles and feels much like an M16 but is easier to manage those last few inches shaved off the barrel.

This model makes use of the G&P MRE rail system which has the curious feature of adding a full four sets of rails both before and after the front iron sight. Even if you do not find a use of it, its very cool; of course it can be handy for those using lasers and flashlights. We have seen some more creative players use pistol lasers on the top rail in front of the iron sight to be as close to the bore axis as possible.

In any case, this is another great platform from G&P which not only works fantastically well out of the box but of course is the brand that sets the benchmark for modifiable guns with a near limitless capacity for aftermarket modification which is why it is so popular as a long term gun with veteran gamers.
