Berikut ini adalah proyek-proyek supermegah Uni Sovyet di tahun 1930'an sampai tahun 1950'an ketika Josef Stalin berkuasa. Proyek-proyek seperti ini sama sekali tidak pernah dibangun atau mangkrak bahkan dihancurkan sebelum dibangun, khususnya ketika Stalin meninggal
Sayembara proyek ini digelar oleh Josef Stalin, penguasa Rusia pada tahun 1931. Ia tidak hanya mengundang arsitek Rusia saja untuk ikut dalam sayembara, melainkan juga arsitek dunia, salah satunya adalah Le Corbusier. Dengan tapak bekas penggusuran gereja Ortodox Christ the Savior, proyek ini berjalan pada tahun 1939. Namun proyek supermegah ini terhenti setela dibombardir oleh Jerman saat PDII. Setelah itu, proyek ini dibiarkan mangkrak dan dibangunkan kolam renang oleh Nikita Kruschev. Katedral Ortodox Christ the Savior dibangun kembali di tapak bekas kolam renang 4 tahun setelah runtuhnya Uni Sovyet pada tahun 1991.
