Aksi borong majalah tempo edisi terbaru, yang memuat tulisan "Rekening Perwira Polisi", memaksa pengecer nekat menjual versi kopiannya. Mereka memperbanyak hanya artikel soal rekening gendut sebanyak delapan halaman.

"Dijual Rp 5.000," tutur Jhon, pengecer bacaan di kawasan pertokoan Jalan Sudirman, Pekanbaru, kemarin (29/6). "Kami sudah fotokopi banyak-banyak."

Sebenarnya di kota itu majalah Tempo beredar. Tapi suplai lebih sedikit dari permintaan. Akibatnya, majalah yang dibanderol Rp 27 ribu per eksemplar itu dijual dengan harga Rp 50 ribu, dan laris manis. "Hanya dua jam, laku 154 eksemplar. Sejak Senin kemarin para langganan sudah banyak yang memesan majlah tambahan," kaat Emi, salah seorang agen bacaan di lingkungan perkantoran Pekanbaru.

Kelangkaan majalah Tempo tak hanya terjadi di daerah. Ariantini Yatim, warga Bintaro Permai, Jakarta, mengaku gagal mendapatkan majalah ini dari agen koran langganannya. Ia akhirnya ditawari fotokopiannya, yang dijual Rp 5.000. "Hanya laporan utamanya saja, sekitar delapan lembar," ujarnya.

Eko, karyawan sebuah bank milk pemerintah, juga terpaksa membeli edisi fotokopian itu seharga Rp 10 ribu di sebuah kios majalah di Kalibata, Jakarta Selatan.
