1 Ramadhan 1441 H/ 2020 M jatuh pada hari Jumat (24/4/2020). Hal ini disampaikan oleh Kementerian Agama dalam Telekonferensi Pers Sidang Isbat Awal Ramadhan 1441 H/2020 M.



"Kami dengan suara bulat awal Ramadhan 1441 jatuh pada esok hari Jumat 24 April 2020. Mari kita sambut bulan Ramadhan dengan tekad mulia melipatgandakan pahala," ujar Menteri Agama Fachrul Razi di Gedung Kementerian Agama di Gedung Kementerian Agama, Jl. MH. Thamrin No. 6, Jakarta, Kamis (23/4/2020).

Mengutip web Kementerian Agama, hilal awal Ramadhan 1441 H teramati di wilayah Indonesia pada Kamis (23/4/2020). Ijtimak terjadi pada hari Kamis (23/4/2020), sekitar pukul 09.26 WIB.

"Hilal awal Ramadan sudah cukup tua, umurnya sudah lebih delapan jam. Di Indonesia hilal berada pada posisi signifikan untuk dilihat," ujar anggota Tim Falakiyah Kementerian Agama Cecep Nurwendaya.

"Untuk di Pelabuhan Ratu, posisi hilal saat terbenamnya matahari pada posisi 3,72 derajat dengan umur bulan 8 jam 23 menit, 5 detik."

Menurut Cecep, hilal awal Ramadhan 1441 H pada hari Kamis (23/4/2020) telah memenuhi kriteria visibilitas hilal yang ditetapkan MABIMS (Menteri Agama Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Singapura). Kriteria tersebut yaitu, tinggi hilal minimal 2 derajat, elongasi bulan ke Matahari minimal 3 derajat atau umur hilal minimal 8 jam.

Seperti diketahui Sidang Isbat Awal Ramadhan tahun ini digelar secara online. Sidang Isbat juga dilakukan dengan mengikuti protokol COVID-19 sehingga tak semua perwakilan hadir secara fisik di kantor Kementerian Agama.
