Produk mie instan saat ini sedang hangat menjadi topik pembicaraan masyarakat akibat produk mie instan INDOMIE dilarang beredar di negara Taiwan. Menurut penuturan dari beberapa sumber, Departemen Kesehatan menyatakan bahwa produk mie instan Indomie aman untuk dikonsumsi.

Bocoran informasi tersebut mengatakan bahwa:

"Produk INDOMIE ternyata masih lebih aman dimakan oleh orang jika dibandingkan dengan produk dari INDOCEMENT ataupun produknya INDOMOBIL."
