a couple questions for a new photographer
 

i haven't gotten my slr yet, but i want to get into photography. i read a couple tutorials on the internet and i have a few questions...</p>

<p>why would you want a shallow dof, if you can just use a bigger aperature and use software to blur your image?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>should i be shooting in RAW camera mode? I don't know what that is, but i heard someone talking about how they always take pics in raw mode</p>
