Taking Lens Apart
 

My dad recently gave me his old Canon AL-1 Camera and a nice Soligor 160mm lens. Both of these have been sitting in his closet for at least 20 years and were originally used for beach photos so you can imagine how dirty they are. I managed to clean the camera pretty good but the lens is still pretty dirty on the inside. Also theres two screws missing on the lens and when i shake it I can hear something rateling inside. Would taking the lens apart be a good idea or would i have to take it to a shop to have them clean it?</p>
