Strata SE1, Apartemen dengan 3 buah turbin angin di London !! (+pic&vid) Quote:
Satu lagi gedung ramah lingkungan yang memanfaatkan angin dibangun di London sana. Strata SE1 oleh Brookfield Europe adalah gedung apartemen dengan tinggi 148 m (42 lantai) yang mempunyai turbin angin yang terintegrasi di dalamnya (built-in atau menyatu dengan disain gedung). Di bagian puncak gedung ini dipasang 3 buah turbin angin yang masing-masing berdiameter 9 m ini bisa menghasilkan 19 kW per turbin dan dalam setahun diperkirakan bisa menghasilkan energi listrik mencapai 50 MWh. Untuk turbin angin tersebut menggunakan 5 buah baling-baling dan bukan 3 buah seperti biasa, hal ini ditujukan untuk mengurangi tingkat kebisingan dari turbin angin tersebut. Memang terlihat banyak tetapi ternyata secara keseluruhan, energi listrik yang dihasilkan tersebut hanya bisa memenuhi sekitar 8% kebutuhan listrik. Tidak banyak tapi lumayan lah!!! Strata SE1 akan selesai dalam waktu 2 tahun dengan biaya � 113 juta dan akan terdapat 408 buah apartemen di dalamnya serta toko dan restoran.
