Jedi Knight adalah class melee utama di SWTOR untuk republic dan bisa berubah ke advanced class menjadi Jedi Guardian(lebih ke defense seperti paladin) dan Jedi Sentinel(fokus ke attack dan dapat memakai 2 lightsabers).

Jedi Consular adalah class tipe support dan lebih cenderung fokus menggunakan "Force" dan biasanya memakai double-bladed lightsaber seperti darthmaul. dan advanced classnya yang bertipe attack adalah Jedi Protector (Telekentic AoE DPS/AoE CC/Lightsaber Skills) dan yang lebih ke support adalah Jedi Diplomat (Healing Skills/Buffing Skills/Super Persuade Skills)

"QUICK, CLEVER, ANSWERS TO NO ONE"

seperti Han Solo, smuggler adalah class yang dapat memakai 2 pistols seperti bounty hunter dan pintar dalam negosiasi (di game swtor, kita bisa melakukan dialog seperti game2 bioware lainnya. cth: MassEffect,KnightOfTheOldRepublic,DragonAge). dan advanced class smuggler adalah Gunslinger yang cenderung ke dps(Dual Wield Pistol Specialisation/Sniper Rifle Specialisation/Dialogue specialisation) dan Scoundrel(Stealth Skills/Ambush Skills/Healing Skills).

ngga semua character hero harus memakai lightsaber, trooper juga perlu disegani dengan senapan/gatling-gun yang besar dan juga granat2nya. trooper nanti-nya bisa berubah menjadi Commando(Ranged DPS Skills/ AoE DPS Skills/Buffing Skills) dan Galactic Marine(Tanking Skills/Buffing Skills/Healing Skills) yep... TANKER

terlihat seperti sosok yang misterius dan licik. ituah Sith Inquisitor. dapat memakai double-bladed lightsaber. advanced class-nya adalah Sith Tormentor(Ranged Lightning DPS /Life Draining+Healing Skills/Super Persuade Skills) dan Sith Destroyer(Double Bladed Saber Specialisation/AoE CC Skills/Telekentic Force DPS Skills) cenderung ke melee sepertinya kyk Darth Maul.

"HUNTER, SEEKER, KILLER FOR HIRE"

bounty hunter ternyata lebih cenderung seperti trooper daripada smuggler. tapi dapat memakai 2 pistols juga atau senapan. advanced class-nya adalah Hunter Killer(Ranged DPS Specialisation/AoE DPS Specialisation/ ?) dan Mercenary(Tanking Skills/AoE CC skills/Healing Abilities(?)) masi kurang jelas sih. ada yang mau tambahin/benerin?

ASSASIN, SABOTEUR, THE EMPIRE'S SECRET WEAPON"

class yg ga kalah keren dengan starship yg elegan, imperial agent adalah class dps. dengan advanced class Assasin(Sniper Rifle Specialisation/Ranged DPS specialisation/Cover Specialisation) dan Saboteur(Stealth Specialisation/Ambush Skills/Healing Skills).

As for what classes they relate to in a traditional fantasy MMO setting, it is quite blurred due to the fact it is star wars, which has both sci-fi and fantasy elements

The Imperial Agent and Smuggler can stealth, but unlike Rogues they are a ranged class, the trooper, altho like a mage in terms of ranged dps, is not a lightly armoured character.

But to give it a shot:

Trooper = Mage/Warrior hybrid (moonkin druid prehaps)

Smuggler = Rogue/Hunter hybrid

Jedi Knight = Warrior/Paladin hybrid with action point style abilities

Jedi Consular = Mage/Rogue/Priest hybrid

Bounty Hunter = Shaman/Hunter hybrid

Imperial Agent = Rogue/Hunter hybrid

Sith Warrior = Warrior/Paladin hybrid with action point style abilities

Sith Inquisitor = Mage/Rogue/Priest hybrid
