The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II a.k.a. "Warthog" is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft packing quite a wallop. The centerpiece of this amazing machine is the Warthog's 30 mm GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling-type cannon. One of the most powerful aircraft cannons ever flown, it fires large depleted uranium armor-piercing shells. Nice.
