Wat Rong Khun berbeda dari candi lainnya di Thailand, kuil ini memiliki warna serba putih . Warna putih dilambangkan sebagai kesucian.
Semua lukisan di dalam ruang. Empat dinding, plafon dan lantai berisi lukisannya melambangkan yaitu mensucikan diri dari pikiran kotor dan godaan untuk mencapai keadaan supramundane. Pada atap, ada empat macam binatang yang mewakili bumi, air, angin dan api. Gajah singkatan bumi; naga berdiri untuk air; sayap angsa itu mewakili angin, dan surai singa merupakan api.
Saat ini, Wat Rong Khun masih sedang dibangun. Ketika selesai, proyek pembangunan Wat Rong Khun akan terdiri dari sembilan bangunan: ubosot, ruang berisi relik Sang Buddha, ruang khotbah, ruang kontemplasi, sel biarawan itu, pintu Buddhavasa , galeri seni, dan toilet.
