[/spoiler] for Apa itu Transyt:
TRANSYT is an international product, used by hundreds of consultancies and local authorities around the world.
It is an off-line computer program for designing, modelling and studying everything from individual isolated junctions to large complex networks. TRANSYT can quickly assess individual junction performance and also produces optimum fixed-time co-ordinated traffic signal timings in any network of roads for which traffic flows are known. Its use around the world reflects the product's international appropriateness and flexibility as a design and network optimisation tool.
TRANSYT is built upon extensive quality research over many years and is a powerful, useful and time-saving tool in the Traffic Engineers arsenal.
How it works
Within its core, a traffic model of any junction or network calculates a Performance Index (PI) in monetary terms (based primarily on delays and stops), whilst an optimising routine searches for the timings which reduce the PI to a minimum value - subject to various constraints and weighting factors.
A number of optimisers is provided, offering a choice between fast and highly-efficient, and slower but ultimately better.
TRANSYT Features
Individual signalised or unsignalled junctions (with and without internal stop lines) can be easily modelled in TRANSYT.
The model can be constructed either using traditional link structure or using TRANSYT 14's new lane and traffic stream structure that allows a direct 'one real lane' to 'one model lane' representation.
The model also provides for give-way priority control, including the modelling of opposed right-turn traffic within signal controlled junctions. Standard ARCADY and/or PICADY geometric data can be specified in order to calculate and assign the required give-way coefficients to the network* - all within the one data file. TRANSYT provides a fast and efficient way of comparing alternative signalled, unsignalled, and partially signalled solutions within the one product!
Fully-signalised and partially-signalised roundabouts can be modelled and their delay minimised by calculating timings which reduce blocking-back by keeping the circulating carriageway free flowing. Where blocking cannot be prevented TRANSYTs cell-transmission model can be used to model its effects. Totally unsignalled roundabouts can also be modelled, and when included in a network, the effects of such roundabouts on the network are accurately represented, and the co-ordination can be optimised.
Weighting factors, queue-length penalties, and degree-of-saturation penalties can be applied to individual links or lanes in order to encourage the optimiser to produce timings that avoid queues beyond a certain length or to reduce delays on specific links.
The program can be used to produce timings which give priority to buses, trams or emergency vehicles, without the need to detect individual special vehicles within mixed traffic streams.
TRANSYT includes the accurate modelling of flared (short lane) approaches. This is particularly important in modelling signalised roundabout approaches where flares are common.
Both isolated and 'within junction' signalled pedestrian crossings can be represented within the TRANSYT network model and the provision of green times for pedestrians reported.
TRANSYT can also model time-varying traffic conditions by splitting the modelled period into time slices. Queue and delay results are generated for each time slice as well as for the overall situation. Signal timings are optimised for the complete time period.
TRANSYT 14 is naturally suitable for both drive-on-the-left and drive-on-the-right operation.
for Feature:
Building on its reputation for designing and modelling signalised roundabouts and coordinated networks, TRANSYT 14 now adds a whole new dimension. No longer should TRANSYT be considered just a network tool - TRANSYT 14 has specific functionality now for the easy assessment of isolated signal-controlled junctions, and mixed signalled and unsignalled networks in addition to its more traditional roles.
Embedded Link Technology
Enables TRANSYT, in combination with an ARCADY and / or PICADY Licence, to model non-signalised, through to partially signalised and fully signalised roundabouts and mixed controlled junctions within your network. All the data is stored within the one TRANSYT file. The effect of platoons of network traffic on the performance of unsignalled junctions, including indirect traffic control, is another example of the benefits of TRANSYT 14‟s integrated TRL technologies.
New degree of saturation limit penalties
Allow upper and lower limits to be specified on individual lanes or links, with associated penalties when these are exceeded. This gives TRANSYT users the ability to encourage the optimiser to provide solutions that keep the main arterials running, improving modelled journey time reliability on corridor routes, something that has a strong political backing in many countries.
Network Structures and traffic models
Have had an overhaul. In addition to the traditional link structure a new Lane and Traffic Stream structure allows a direct one TRANSYT lane‟ to one REAL lane‟ relationship to be used, while maintaining the flexibility to model networks in a correct manner.
A new controller stream object separates out signal data from the network structure making for a more intuitive way of working.
Furthermore, a major modelling breakthrough gives users link-by-link choice of traffic model allows blocking effects and platoons dispersion effects to be modelled in the same network for the first time!
Staging Data
is more easily manipulated graphically using enhanced stage sequence diagrams and signal timing diagrams with both phase or stage manipulation modes, or by typing in timing data directly. Automatic stage and sequence generation also speeds up model development.
Optimisation
has been touched by the team, in addition to the standard Hill-climb there is now the additional option of either Simulated Annealing or Shotgun Hill-climb optimisation.
