Peralatan ultrasonic scaler merupakan satu perangkat scaler yang terdiri dari handpiece scaler dan tip scaler. Ujung dari tip scaler pada saat dioperasikan akan bergetar dengan frekuensi yang cepat dan halus yang akan menghancurkan karang gigi tanpa merusak permukaan gigi, karena permukaan tip scaler yang halus. Kemudian dikombinasikan dengan keluarnya air dari ujung tip yang berfungsi untuk mengirigasi, membersihkan debris dan mendinginkan area yang dibersihkan.
