This is the New 2011 Bonito 7-port Engine from Novarossi. Just Release for the Toy Fair in Germany, Novarossi, always working on improving their products and staying ahead of the competition, have released the Bonita 21-7XLBS 7-Port Competition Buggy engine. This new engine has replaced Toro Nero Team Edition Engine. The most obvious change to this engine is to the cooling head. The cooling head has been re-designed so that it is mounted lower on the case for a lower center of gravity, with additional machine work to reduce weight and improve cooling efficiency. But the true performance of this engine is produced by the re-designed Piston and Sleeve. The 7-Port Sleeve has been Modified to improve low end power, while the Piston improves the efficiency of the combustion process. To take full advantage of these improvements, the addition of a ceramic rear bearing helps to improve acceleration and fuel efficiency, while minimizing wear and vibration. This engine also includes Front and Rear Ceramic Ball Bearings



Features:



Sleeve: The sleeve has 7 transfer ports and an exhaust with booster ports. The special shape and positioning of the ports, covered by a patent, improve the internal fluid-dynamics to obtain the maximum possible performance..

Piston: The material for this piston was chosen for its strength and weight properties. The shape of the piston features Novarossi's "Compact Combustion Technology" which helps to improve efficiency.

Lighter & Lower Cooling Head: The cooling head has been re-designed so that it is mounted lower on the case for a lower center of gravity, with additional machine work to reduce weight and improve cooling efficiency.

R7 Conrod: This rod is produced from ultrasonic tested, super light aluminum, and is designed to help eliminate turbulence during operation.

Crankshaft: The crankshaft has a special shape to reduce turbulence inside the crankcase. The front part has been extended to improve the seal at the front bearing to help prevent fuel leaking.

Combustion Chamber: The combustion chamber is supported by an O-Ring which is placed between the combustion chamber and the crankcase to reduce the vibrations of the combustion chamber.

Ceramic Front / Rear Bearing: The rear bearing uses high quality ceramic balls to minimize wear and vibration, as well as to improve acceleration and fuel efficiency.

The Plus 21-4BTT is a evolution of the famous Plus 21-4C TEAM engine, but with a few tweaks to further improve the engines potential. The sleeve has been reworked to provide a better filling of the combustion chamber, lowering the fuel consumption and at the same time provide more power. While at the other end of the engine sits a backplate with a steel disc, this is a proven NOVAROSSI technology in the On-road class that reduces friction with the conrod in case of the conrod touching the backplate.



Other improvements of the latest Plus 21-4BTT are the at the engine now features one of the lightest cooling heads of all of the series of engines produced so far, this head not only reduces the rolling weight of your car but also sits far lower over the engine's crankcase, this also reduced the engines center of gravity to aid in your cars cornering ability. Underneath the engines cooling head the head button is sealed with a singular o-ring, this helps keep the engines liner/combustion chamber sealed from any dirt contamination, this is a concept introduced by Novarossi themselves many years ago which works to great effect. Aside from these latest innovations the engine relys on much of the original components from the Plus 21-4, from the polished tuned crankshaft to the 4-port liner the engine still oozes that Novarossi quality.
