The retro two-seater will cost between 3.98 million yen ($51,830) and 4.63 million yen, including tax. That is about 500,000 yen to 600,000 yen less for each model than the old standard version.
Although the basic specifications of the Himiko remain similar, with its 2-liter engine, classic styling and convertible roof basically unchanged, Mitsuoka says there have been improvements to the materials used in the anniversary model.
The vehicle will be produced in Japan and Thailand and distributed in Japan and other Asian countries, the company says. The company aims to sell 100 units in 2012.
