Premier Series Classic features two specific shell constructions, North American maple or African bubinga. North American maple shell are 7-ply pressure-bonded shells and undersized by 3mm, the traditional characteristic of Premier professional drums. This coupled with a precision-cut bearing edge allows the drumhead to sit flatter, producing increased sustain and low-end frequencies which result in an extraordinarily versatile tuning range.
