Sejarah

Klub ini didirikan pada 9 Maret 1908 mengikuti pecahnya dari Klub Kriket dan Sepak bola Milan (Milan Criket and Football Club), yang sekarang lebih dikenal dengan nama AC Milan. Sebuah grup terdiri dari orang-orang Italia dan Swiss tidak terlalu suka akan dominasi orang-orang Inggris & Italia di AC Milan dan mereka memutuskan untuk memecahkan diri dari AC Milan. Nama Internazionale diambil dari keinginan pendiri-pendirinya untuk membuat satu klub yang terdiri dari banyak pemain dari negara-negara luar.

Klub ini memenangkan juaranya di tahun 1910 dan yang kedua di tahun 1920. Selama waktu perang, klub ini dipaksa untuk mengganti namanya menjadi Ambrosiana-Inter untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan kepemimpinan Benito Mussolini. Walaupun demikian, Inter masih tetap bisa memenangkan trofi ketiga mereka di tahun 1930. Mengikuti itu, trofi keempat dimenangkan di tahun 1938, Inter pertama kali memenangkan Copa Italia (Piala Italia) di tahun 1940 dan di tahun yang sama, mereka memenangkan trofi kelima mereka. Sejak tahun 1942 sampai sekarang, nama Ambrosiana-Inter tidak pernah dipakai lagi dan mereka memakai nama asli mereka, Internazionale Milano.

Setelah masa perang, Inter memenangi gelar Seri A lagi pada tahun 1953 dan yang ketujuh di tahun 1954. Setelah memenangi beberapa trofi ini, Inter memasuki masa keemasan mereka yang disebut La Grande Inter. Selama masa keemasan mereka, Inter memenangkan tiga trofi di tahun 1963, 1965, dan 1966. Pada waktu ini, Inter juga terkenal dengan kemenangan Piala Eropa dua kali berturut-turut. Di tahun 1963, Inter memenangkan trofi Piala Eropa mereka setelah mengalahkan klub terkenal Real Madrid. Musim selanjutnya, bermain di kandang mereka sendiri, Inter memenangkan trofi Piala Eropa untuk kedua kalinya setelah mengalahkan klub dari Portugal, Benfica.

Setelah masa keemasan di tahun 1960, Inter berhasil untuk memenangkan gelar mereka kesebelas kalinya di tahun 1971 dan kedua belas kalinya di tahun 1980. Pada tahun 1970 dan 1980, Inter juga memenangi dua trofi Piala Italia di tahun 1978 dan 1982. Inter berhasil meraih gelar scudetto mereka yg ke tigabelas kali pada tahun 1989 dan membutuhkan waktu yg sangat panjang hingga 17 tahun hingga mereka dapat memenanginya lagi pada tahun 2006, tetapi melalui cara yg lain dari biasa atau yg mereka sebut dengan "Scudetto of Honesty" (juara dari kejujuran), karena mereka tidak terbukti bersalah dalam skandal "calciopoli" yg ikut menyeret beberapa klub besar italia yg terbukti bersalah dan mendapat penalti pengurangan poin juga pencopotan gelar bagi juara sebelumnya. Baru pada tahun selanjutnya atau 2007 Inter berhasil menjadi juara bertahan, sekaligus menorehkan rekor dengan 17 kemenangan beruntun di kompetisi lokal.

Gelar ini membuat Inter dengan 15 kali juara di peringkat ketiga dalam jumlah gelar kompetisi Seri A, di bawah Juventus dengan 27 kali dan AC Milan dengan 17 kali. Biarpun begitu Inter adalah satu-satunya tim Seri A yg belum pernah terdegradasi terhitung dari sejak Seri A bergulir, karena itu di dalam lagu kebangsaan nya yg berjudul C'e solo l'Inter (hanya ada Inter satu-satunya) disebutkan bahwa Inter mempunyai gen Seri A dan tidak mengenal Seri lainnya.

Internazionale juga memenangi Piala UEFA mereka tiga kali. Pertama di musim 1990/1991 melawan AS Roma/ Di musim 1993/1994, Inter meraih gelar Piala UEFA dengan mengalahkan klub Austria Casino Salzburg. Di kemenangan Piala UEFA mereka untuk ketiga kalinya, Inter mengalahkan SS Lazio di Parc des Princes, Paris.

Stadion tim saat ini adalah Stadion Giuseppe Meazza yang berkapasitas 85.000 orang. Stadion ini juga dikenal dengan nama San Siro. Stadion ini dibuka dengan Pertandingan Derby antara AC.Milan melawan Inter, yang dimana laga itu dimenangkan oleh AC Milan dengan skor 7 - 3. Stadion ini digunakan bersama dengan AC Milan ("AC Milan"), klub besar lain di Milan. Rafa Benitez resmi diperkenalkan Inter Milan sebagai suksesor Jose Mourinho, Selasa (15/6). Berbicara di acara tersebut, pelatih asal Spanyol langsung menjanjikan sepak bola indah kepada publik Giuseppe Meazza.
"Hari yang baik semuanya! Saya ingin sekali lagi berterima kasih kepada klub dan fan yang menyambut saya dengan penuh kasih sayang," ucap Benitez dalam Bahasa Italia.

"Sulit bagi saya meninggalkan Liverpool. Banyak pemain, termasuk Gerrard, mengucapkan semoga beruntung kepada saya. Ini kesempatan yang sempurna untuk karier saya," sambungnya.

Rafa juga siap untuk menjawab perbandingan antara dirinya dengan Jose Mourinho. Ia menegaskan bakal mengusung gaya main menyerang selain tetap memenuhi tuntutan untuk menang.
"Ia telah melakukan tugas yang baik. Saya berbeda. Saya suka menang dan memainkan sepak bola yang baik. Jika saya berada di sini, itu karena saya cerdas," kata Rafa.

Pelatih berusia 50 tahun ini juga menjawab rumor yang mengatakan ia bakal mengajak Javier Mascherano ke Italia. "Kami sedang menganalisa situasinya. Kami selalu bisa berkembang. Mascherano bukan pemain kami. Saya lebih memilih untuk tidak menjawab pertanyaan ini sekarang," cetus pelatih yang dikontrak Inter selama dua tahun ini.

Mengenai Italia, Benitez punya kesan tersendiri. "Anda bernapas sepak bola. Bahkan di Sardinia, ketika saya sedang berlibur, ada jurnalis yang menunggu saya di depan hotel. Saya suka itu. Saya berada di klub yang hebat. Kami akan melakukan yang terbaik."

"Inter memiliki tahun yang nyaris sempurna. Sekarang saya yang berhak mempertahankan mentalitas pemenang ini. Mentalitas Italia mirip dengan Spanyol; jika kami memenanginya itu akan mempermudah pekerjaan kami," ujarnya.
Pelatih yang sempat memenangi Liga Champion bersama Liverpool ini menyatakan tidak akan banyak merubah hal yang diwariskan Mourinho. Mempertahankan Maicon, yang diincar Real Madrid, dan formasi 4-2-3-1, yang musim lalu jadi andalan Mourinho, juga masuk ke dalam agenda Benitez.
"Kami punya banyak pemain berkelas yang sedang bermain di Piala Dunia dan saya harap yang terbaik untuk mereka. Mengenai transfer, saya masih harus berbicara kepada klub. Maicon adalah pemain yang sagat kuat dan saya bahagia dia di Inter," tukas Benitez.

"Tim adalah hal yang terpenting. Mengganti segalanya bukanlah hal yang cerdas. Jika sesuatu telah berjalan dengan baik, kami bisa melanjutkannya," pungkasnya.

The future of Inter striker Mario Balotelli will be finalized next week, according to the player's agent. The 19-year-old looks set to leave the Italian and European champions and join ambitious Premier League club Manchester City this summer.

Balotelli has also made it clear that he wants to be reunited with former Inter coach Roberto Mancini at Eastlands. Talks between the two clubs have been going on for quite a while but they have been unable to decide on a transfer fee.

Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola has now said that no decision will be taken over the weekend but has added that his client's future will be resolved early next week.

He told Tuttomercatoweb: "There is no news and most likely there will be (news) on Monday or Tuesday. For the moment, however, there is no signature (with Manchester City)."

New York - Selama dua musim dilatih oleh Jose Mourinho, Marco Materazzi adalah pemain yang sangat dekat dengan pelatih asal Portugal itu, Kini setelah era Mourinho berakhir, Materazzi sudah siap menyambut eranya Rafael Benitez.

Meski bukan pemain pilihan utama namun Materazzi mempunyai hubungan yang sangat baik dengan Mourinho. Usai final Liga Champions Mei lalu,

Mourinho sempat menghampiri Materazzi di luar stadion dan memeluknya. Seketika itu pula Mourinho menangis di pundak Materazzi. Dari gambaran singkat itu bisa dilihat bagaimana kedekatan antara Mourinho dan eks Perugia itu.

Namun kini Materazzi harus membuang jauh-jauh dulu memorinya bersama mantan pelatihnya itu. Sebab kini ia sudah ditunggu oleh metode baru dari Benitez yang jadi suksesor Mourinho.

"Aku akan selalu menilainya setiap tahun (Benitez) seperti yang kulakukan dengan Mourinho. Aku tidak ingin bilang 'Aku suka, aku tidak suka' dalam seminggu karena segalanya bisa jadi lebih sulit jika Anda melihat sifat dasar seseorang," tutur bek 37 tahun itu di Football Italia.

"Setelah dua tahun aku bisa bilang kalau Mourinho itu unik, nomor satu dan tak ada bandingannya," nilainya mengenai sosok Mourinho.

Meski begitu Materazzi tetap bersikap profesional karena saat ini Benitez-lah pelatihnya dan ia pun berjanji akan merespek pria asal Spanyol itu sama seperti yang ia berikan pada Mourinho.

Materazzi pun yakin Benitez bisa membawa Nerazzurri kedalam kesuksesan lagi dan meminta para rekannya untuk menghormati pribadi Benitez.

"Lebih dari apapun, Kita harus pintar dalam menggarisbawahi bahwa Benitez itu berbeda dengan Mourinho dan aku tidak percaya jika Anda marah jika tim ini masih teringat Mourinho: Seluruh dunia telah melihatnya dan tahun bagaimana kami bisa berjalan sendiri-sendiri," tukas Materazzi

"Aku telah bilang berkali-kali. Aku akan memperlakukannya dengan sama. Aku selalu menomorsatukan tim dan membangun harmonisasi dengan Benitez seperti dengan Mourinho. Kami tidak boleh melihat ke belakang. Rafa akan semakin dekat dengan tim dan melanjutkan apa yang telah dia lakukan di Liverpool," demikian Materazzi. ( mrp / roz )

Milan - Inter Milan memulai upaya mempertahankan scudetto dengan melawat ke Renato dall'Ara, markas Bologna. Seperti apa jadwal lain dari giornata pertama Seri A 2010/2011?

Penentuan jadwal digelar di Palazzo Mezzanotte, Milan pada Kamis (29/7/2010) dinihari WIB yang dipimpin oleh presiden Lega Maurizio Beretta.

Ini merupakan kali pertama penyusunan jadwal dilakukan sejak Seri A memutuskan untuk lepas dari Lega Calcio dan membentuk organisasi mereka sendiri.

Dalam acara ini presiden FIGC Giancarlo Abete tak diundang sebagai langkah protes Seri A terkait pembatasan kuota pemain non-Uni Eropa.

Diberitakan Football-Italia, Inter memulai perjuangan mempertahankan titel dengan lawatan ke markas Bologna. Sementara itu tim sekota Nerazzurri yakni AC Milan akan berjumpa juara Seri B Lecce di San Siro.

Runner up musim lalu AS Roma bakal mengawali petualangan dengan menjamu tim promosi lainnya yakni Cesena. Sementara peringkat keempat giornata 2009/2010 Sampdoria bentrok dengan Lazio.

Tim yang musim lalu terpuruk, Juventus akan melawat ke markas Bari di giornata pertama.

Ada pun dalam penyusunan jadwal ini, diterbitkan sejumlah peraturan. Di antaranya adalah pertandingan yang digelar pada tengah pekan tidak akan mementaskan duel yang mempertemukan tim-tim berikut: Inter, Juventus, Milan, Napoli, Roma atau derby di Genoa, Milan dan Roma. Jadi tidak akan ada Inter vs Juve, Napoli vs Milan, atau derby della capitale pada midweek.

Selain itu tim-tim yang bermain di kompetisi Eropa tidak akan saling bentrok dalam laga yang digelar berdekatan dengan jadwal mereka tampil di Benua Biru. Ada pun wakil Italia di Eropa adalah Inter, Roma, Milan, Sampdoria (Liga Champions), Palermo, Napoli, dan Juventus (Liga Europa).

Cordoba: "A good evening of football"

MILAN - Commenting on the 0-0 draw with Juventus, Ivan Ramiro Cordoba explained the reason for his half-time substitution.
"I felt a twinge in the back of my thigh and the doctor told me he didn't think it was a good idea to continue; tomorrow we will see what it is," said the Colombian defender.
"It was a close game today between two teams that did their work. We tried to open up spaces and they compacted well, but we created several chances.
"The substitutions certainly upset our plans a bit, but the positive thing is that we saw a nice evening of football.
"If there was a team that did everything to win tonight, it was Inter. It doesn't matter if we have a team above us in the table, there won't be any problems if we continue like this.
"Now we hope to recover the injured players during the break."

Benitez: " Satisfied with my team"

MILAN - Rafa Benitez feels that Inter could have come away from Sunday night's Juventus clash with more than a point.
"The team played well against Werder Bremen last Wednesday and we fielded the same starting eleven today, but we didn't have the same luck because we lost Biabiany almost immediately," said the Spanish coach.
"We thought that we could have won tonight by repeating the ideas used in the Champions League."
After losing Biabiany to injury, Benitez was forced to make a second change at the break with Cordoba unable to continue. "We were a little bit unlucky, we had to change a few things and this is not always easy. Milito was recovering from a leg problem, but he still did his job and he created two very good chances. I am satisfied with my team, we could have won."
Coutinho gave another convincing display against the Bianconeri after his performance against Werder. "He's young and talented, he did a lot of positive things today," said Benitez. "He's not a defensive player, but he can make a difference in attack."
Inter will be hoping to have a few players back for the resumption of Serie A action after the October international break. "At the moment we have three or four players out injured - Pandev, Zanetti, Thiago Motta," said Benitez. "The situation will be better when they return."

Coutinho: Inter Bermaterikan Pemain Juara

Gelandang Inter Philippe Coutinho mengucapkan terimakasih kepada kapten I Nerazzurri Javier Zanetti dan Maicon yang telah membantunya beradaptasi di Giuseppe Meazza.

Coutinho melakukan yang terbaik untuk menciptakan gol, namun sayang La Beneamata gagal menang atas Juventus.

Rafa: Inter Kelelahan

Milan - Setelah kalah atas AS Roma pekan lalu, Inter Milan kembali gagal menang karena cuma bermain imbang saat menjamu Juventus. Hasil tersebut harus didapat Nerazzurri karena mereka kelelahan usai berlaga di Liga Champions.

Kami sudah mengatakan kalau kami harus masuk ke dalam, tapi pemain sudah lelah atau tak bisa masuk sesuai di waktu yang tepat, hal seperti itu tak bisa dibantu," sahut Rafa di Football Italia.

Perubahan taktik coba dilakukan Rafa menyusul cedera yang dialami Jonathan Biabiany. Namun masuknya Diego Milito di menit 30 juga tak berhasil memberi inter gol yang mereka cari-cari.

"Kami menetahui hari ini kalau berusaha mengubah permainan di tengah laga tidaklah mudah, terutama karena Milito sebelumnya mengalami cedera selama beberapa minggu dan kembali dalam laga yang sengit. Dia masih melakukan tugasnya dan punya dua peluang bagus," tuntas Rafa.

MILAN - As planned yesterday evening, Inter medical director Franco Combi performed tests this morning on Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, who suffered an injury in the final minutes of the first half of Inter v Juventus and was substituted by Davide Santon at the interval. It was Spurs who kicked off but within 70 seconds they were behind. As Crouch, Gareth Bale and Modric attempted neat triangles, Javier Zanetti stole in to start Inter�s charge. Phillippe Coutinho continued the drive forward and found Eto�o who played the ball into the penalty area for Zanetti to run onto the finish smartly on the left-hand side to become the oldest scorer in the competition�s history at 37 years and 71 days.:cling:
If conceding after one minute wasn�t bad enough for Spurs, they made it even worse for themselves when Heurelho Gomes rushed out to stop Jonathan Biabiany bearing down on goal, as his original marker Beniot Assou-Ekotto was done was pace straight away, but the goalkeeper proceeded to take down the 22-year-old inside the area and not only conceded a penalty but also witnessed the referee show him the red card, not once but twice.
Samuel Eto�o duly stepped up and slotted home past substitute goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, who replaced Modric, Harry Redknapp�s charges now faced 80 minutes away from home against the Champions League holders with just 10 men.
Unsurprisingly the scoreline did not take long to change as only three minutes later Dejan Stankovic exchanged a neat one-two with Eto'o on the edge of the Spurs� penalty area, after a 34 pass move that included the majority of the Inter players, and the midfielder waited for Tom Huddlestone to set himself before shooting low into the bottom right-hand corner of net to give his side a 3-0 lead.
The English side were shell-shocked. Their defending and concentration was non-existent.
Inter continued to pass it around for the following 15 minutes, knowing full well that the result was settled already, which appeared to give Spurs a chance to calm down a tad and regain some sort of posture.
Spurs were, surprisingly, the next team to go close to scoring, and probably should have. With Aaron Lennon slowly building confidence down the right-hand side he took on Zanetti and Cristian Chivu, and this time it was the Inter defence to look all out of sorts as the England winger whipped in a smart cross that Crouch only needed to guide on target to beat the stationary Julia Cesar but the striker failed to keep his header down and the chance went begging.
Spurs were soon punished for this miss as Inter decided to score again. The impressive Coutinho cut inside from the left and rolled a pass to Samuel Eto'o down the inside-left channel. As William Gallas� attempt to play the offside trap went horribly wrong, the Cameroon striker simply toe-poked the ball over Cudicini to give his team a 4-0 lead at the break.
As Inter started the second half full of confidence, they were immediately dealt a blow as Stankovic was forced off with an injury which, by his reaction of angrily throwing his shinpads into the dugout, could be a nasty one. It looked like either his knee, calf or Achilles.
Minutes later it went from a not-so-brilliant to just a very good evening for Inter as Gareth Bale got one back for the away side. The Welsh winger picked the ball up in his half and immediately burst past two Inter challenges and continued running until he reached the edge of the area where he, still in full stride after a 70 yard run, powered the ball across a stationary Cesar so the ball nestled into the far side netting to give the away fans something to finally cheer about.
Inter kicked into gear again and nearly added another from the kick-off when Davide Santon cut inside on the left-hand side and whipped a shot at Cudicini�s near side but the goalkeeper did well to stop the scoreline increasing.
With one youngster impressing for Spurs, another impressed for Inter all night. Philippe Coutinho. He was involved in everyone good for his side all night and nearly got on the scoresheet on the hour mark when he controlled the ball well under pressure on the edge of the Spurs area and managed to find enough space to squeeze out a shot, that got Cudcini scrambling, but it flashed wide.
As Inter slowed down the tempo in the final moments of the match, Gareth Bale had other ideas. As the clock entered stoppage time, in a carbon copy of his first goal he marauded down the left-flank and again beat Cesar by slamming it into the far post.

Stankovic to miss clash with Samp
Dejan Stankovic will be absent from Inter's match against Sampdoria this weekend after suffering an injury in last night's Champions League clash with Tottenham.

The Serbia international had to be substituted after taking a knock on the foot, which prompted him to throw his boot away in agony.

Tests carried out this morning have revealed a subsequent groin problem caused by the foot injury, ruling him out of Sunday's match at San Siro.

Inter hope to have him back in time for their trip to White Hart Lane on November 2.

APPIANO GENTILE - Inter's technical and medical staff organised individual sessions for Amantino Mancini, MacDonald Mariga, Diego Milito, Thiago Motta, Nelson Rivas and David Suazo at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti this morning.

As planned last night, medical director Professor Franco Combi performed medical tests on Dejan Stankovic, who came off injured early in the second half against Tottenham.

The Serbian midfielder has been diagnosed with a right calf strain.

Inter Pantau Vucinic

Inter Milan tampaknya gerah karena disebut ketergantungan terhadap Samuel Eto'o. Maka dari tu, Inter berencana akan menambah stok lini depan mereka.

Afellay Menuju Pintu Keluar PSV
Eindhoven - Bursa transfer Januari boleh jadi bakal diramaikan oleh perebutan Ibrahim Afellay. Ini terjadi menyusul pemain muda Belanda itu memutuskan tak memperpanjang kontraknya bersama PSV Eindhoven.

PSV Jumat (22/10/2010) waktu setempat mengumumkan bahwa Afellay tidak akan memperpanjang kontrak baru. Ada pun masa tugas pemain 24 tahun itu di Stadion Phillips habis pada akhir musim 2010/11.

"PSV dan Ibrahim Afellay telah mencapai kesepakatan bersama bahwa untuk beberapa alasan tertentu, perpanjangan kontraknya adalah hal yang tidak realistis," demikian pernyataan PSV seperti dikutip dari situs resmi FIFA.

"Afellay akan berusaha bahwa dia tidak akan meninggalkan PSV tanpa harga yang pantas untuk klub."

Ini berarti kemungkinan besar pemain keturunan Maroko itu bakal dilepas pada bursa transfer Januari mendatang. Sebab PSV tentu tidak ingin melepas Afellay dengan status bebas.

Afellay bergabung dengan klub berjuluk Boeren pada tahun 2003. Pemain berposisi gelandang ini masuk tim utama sejak musim 2005/06 menyusul hengkangnya sejumlah pemain utama seperti Johann Vogel dan Mark van Bommel.

Bersama PSV, ia merasakan empat gelar juara liga sejak musim 2004/05 hingga 2007/08. Untuk kompetisi kali ini, dia telah mencetak lima gol dari total 25 yang dibukukan PSV di Liga Belanda. Ini membawa tim yang diasuh Fred Rutten memuncaki klasemen sementara.

Afellay masuk timnas Belanda sejak tahun 2007. Ia termasuk personel Oranje di Euro 2008 dan Piala Dunia 2010. Gol pertamanya bagi timnas adalah ketika mengalahkan Swedia 4-1 dalam laga kualifikasi Euro 2012 pekan lalu.

Inter will be thin in midfield as Thiago Motta will not make his return for the match against Sampdoria on Sunday, according to tuttomercatoweb.

The combative midfielder has missed much of the season through injury and was supposedly ready for a place on the bench in the 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, but he was not available. The latest reports from the peninsula suggest he will not feature against Sampdoria either as he continues his recovery program.

However, Esteban Cambiasso is expected to return to the starting XI after missing the matches against Cagliari and Spurs because of a muscle strain sustained on international duty with Argentina.

He will return sooner than expected and will give the Nerazzurri midfield a boost as MacDonald Mariga, Dejan Stankovic, and Motta are all out of contention.

The Italian champions currently lie joint second-place in Serie A with city rivals Milan, two points behind Lazio.

Rafa Benitez has received a boost ahead of this weekend's match against Sampdoria as Esteban Cambiasso, Goran Pandev and Cristian Chivu are fit and available again.

Tuttosport understands that all three are likely to start at San Siro on Sunday after training fully in this afternoon's training session at Appiano Gentile.
