CHELSEA JUARA LIGA CHAMPIONS!!

Munich - Chelsea tampil sebagai juara Liga Champions musim 2011/2012. Setelah hingga 120 menit kedudukan tetap 1-1, The Blues mengalahkan Bayern Munich lewat drama adu penalti dengan skor 4-3.
Bayern tampil dominan dalam laga di Allianz Arena, Minggu (20/5/2012) dinihari WIB. Situs resmi UEFA menulis Die Roten unggul penguasaan bola hingga 55 persen.
Bayern juga lebih banyak mendapatkan peluang dengan melepaskan 35 tembakan, dengan tujuh di antaranya tepat sasaran. Sementara Chelsea cuma bisa menembak sembilan kali dan tiga di antaranya on target.
Bayern lebih dulu unggul pada menit ke-83 melalui tandukan Thomas Mueller. Dua menit sebelum waktu normal berakhir, Chelsea membalas lewat gol Didier Drogba sekaligus memaksakan digelarnya babak extra time.
Karena tak ada gol tambahan di babak perpanjangan waktu, adu penalti pun harus dilakukan. Di sinilah dewi fortuna lebih menaungi Chelsea
David Luiz, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, dan Drogba sukses memperdayai Neuer. Hanya Juan Mata yang tak bisa menjalankan tugasnya dengan baik.

Ini adalah gelar Liga Champions pertama sepanjang sejarah Chelsea. Sebelumnya, pencapaian terbaik mereka adalah final tahun 2008.
Bagi Bayern, kekalahan ini membuat mereka tetap mengumpulkan empat gelar, yakni pada edisi 1974, 1975, 1976, dan 2001.
